About Me

Piera Forestieri




My passion for life sciences and health started when I was in elementary school and grew considerably to the point that after High School I decided to study Pharmaceutical Sciences and learn about human physiology, chemistry, drugs development, disease prevention and treatment.

After graduating, I continued my research activity in Biochemistry and worked as a pharmacist.

My life has then taken me to New York where I studied English at an accredited institute and enhanced my knowledge in science.

While living in the city that never sleeps, I had the opportunity to volunteer, meet professors and luminaries in the field of nutrition and public health. It was very inspirational and helped me discover my true passion.

I was interested in people’s health and wanted to focus on disease prevention through nutrition so I decided to go back to school and acquire further skills and competencies in this field.
During my studies at ETH Zurich I learned about the numerous aspects of food and nutrition, their impact on health, and their potential for prevention of diseases.

The advanced knowledge I gained helped me also as a pharmacist to optimize patient outcome.
